Ghislaine Alami has launched a French search fund built around a specific idea — that succession is a transfer of responsibility, not just of shares. Arada is among fifteen entrepreneur-investors backing her search.
Guided by the values of continuity, human commitment and responsible succession, Ghislaine Alami, an experienced entrepreneur-operator, has founded Altera Transmission to search for and acquire a French SME.
The name carries the thesis. Altera, from the Latin for "the other", signals her role as a committed and respectful successor; Transmission underlines the intention to ensure a lasting handover rather than a purely financial transaction. She is backed by fifteen entrepreneur-investors, including Istria Capital, Relay Investments, Legate Partners, Arada Capital, Secways and Legacy Partners.
With nearly twenty years of experience, Ghislaine combines financial expertise with operating execution — a rare pairing, and one that gives her a full view of what business succession actually demands.
Most recently she served as Deputy CEO of Blink Materials, a B2B logistics company, where she helped build the business from the ground up to a team of more than fifty and a turnover of €20m. Before that she led international expansion at Nareva Holding, a renewable energy developer. She began her career at Merrill Lynch in corporate finance and M&A, then spent several years in leveraged finance at BNP Paribas structuring and executing complex financings. She subsequently joined ECP, a private equity firm focused on Africa, where over ten years she originated and managed more than ten transactions across diverse industries, serving on boards and executive committees and overseeing exits. She holds a degree in Finance from HEC Paris.
Through Altera Transmission she is looking to acquire a French SME with €2–6m EBITDA, positive cash flow and low capex requirements. The approach is industry-agnostic, but prioritises niche sectors with strong fundamentals and room for operational improvement where her experience applies directly — logistics and supply chain, B2B waste collection and processing, and energy and infrastructure services.
By combining entrepreneurial drive, financial expertise and a clear sense of responsibility, Altera Transmission is set up to deliver a meaningful transition for one outstanding French SME.
